Hew Locke came to visit on Friday and he was wonderful to speak to, everyone in the cohort enjoyed the visit as we discussed navigating the art world in today’s market, from building professional relationships with curators and artists to pricing work and what’s the best attitude to approach your career. He was insightful in how to make our practice sustainable in terms of practicality when making the work, its materials and its purpose.
