Associate Studio Programme 13 : Stockwell

The Associate Studio Programme is now open to applications for the next group to move into the Stockwell studio, to form ASP 13.

Applications are now invited from 2024 and 2025 graduates from CSM, Chelsea and Camberwell’s BA Fine Art courses, to occupy the studio from November 2026 to October 2028.

The Associate Studio Programme provides a supportive environment to develop your practice – to make and show art in whatever form – without simply extending the ‘comfort zone’ of the college experience. The emphasis is on the creation of a mixed but cooperative community of emerging artists, who, at the point of joining the scheme, have already made a commitment to continuing a professional practice. On this basis the ASP provides an affordable route into a professional studio space in a mutually supportive environment and underpinned by a programme of collective dialogue and mentoring involving professional artists and academics.

The programme offers a space in a new-build, accessible, secure and self-contained ground floor shared open-plan space of around 1,300 sq.ft for a group of ten BA Fine Art graduates. This space is located within Acme’s larger studio development occupied by 30 professional artists and is built to a high specification; with natural light, three meter high ceilings, lighting, power, heating, internet access, shared wash-up and WC facilities and 24-hour access. Tenancy with Acme Studios is for two years, with a subsidised rent set at half the average rate. The programme includes studio visits by artists, curators and writers nominated and directed by Associates (more details of previous visits can be found on this website), along with workshops and other opportunities.

Application deadline: 10am, Friday, 19 June 2026.

There will be a full on-line briefing and Q&A session with Graham Ellard and Alex Clarke for those interested in applying on Wednesday 29 April, at 2pm, email asp@arts.ac.uk with the subject line – ASP 13 2026 Final Briefing – for the link to join the meeting.
