In March 2017 Rob Chavasse visited the studio Associate Studio in Stockwell. After a brief introduction to some of his recent projects; including ‘Marsh Lane Diversion’, Frieze London, 2016 and ‘Braids’ at Jupiter Woods, Vienna, Rob discussed work in progress by Associates Jordan Mouzouris, Vicky Young, Rachel Christian, Isabel Cole and Fleur Dempsey. Subjects ranged from the immediate responses and ideas raised by the work itself to the surrounding practical and professional issues of sustaining the making and exhibiting of work in the long term, the balance between time spent earning a living and time spent in the studio (particularly in London), and the pros and cons of gallery representation.
