In April we had a studio visit from Georgia Stephenson prior to our studio show. As Georgia is a curator we thought it would be helpful to set up the crit slightly differently, looking at the curation of the show as well as some individual works. Georgia had helpfully put together a presentation with: some shows she’s curated, artists she’s worked with and useful residencies including things like good eye projects and her involvement in collective ending. She stressed the throwing off of shame around her advertising job which supports her freelance curation, encouraging us to also feel unashamed of work we do alongside our practices. Georgia then viewed the show making comments on the installation of the works and what was yet to be done. Issey Kang
