Hannah Rickards visited the Associate Studio in July, in the midst of her Leverhulme Award for Visual and Performing Arts and work on a new piece at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) in Troy, New York. The studio discussion centred around the work that many of the Associates were involved in using printed matter, either as its source or final form. Work discussed included Piotr Krzymowski’s photo-montage work unsing Polish film magazines from the 1960s and Asta Meldal Lynge’s recent artist bookwork ‘Real State’.
