studio 'round-table'

Vito Acconci, in conversation

A talk by Vito Acconci, to present an overview of his practice, and a round table studio discussion with under-graduate, Post-graduate, Research students and invited guests in Studio G01, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Charing Cross Road.
Vito Acconci’s visit was made possible through the support of the AHRC funded Research Project ‘Curating Architecture’ at Goldsmiths College and The Henry Moore Foundation.

In 2003 Anne Tallentire, Graham Ellard and Stephen Johnstone visited Vito Acconci at Acconci Studio in Brooklyn, New York, to explore the possibility of a project together. Plans were made for a public ‘in conversation’ with a London based architect. That event was never realized. Instead, to coincide with Acconci’s lecture at Goldsmiths College as part of the ‘Curating Architecture’ project Acconci visited Central Saint Martins to discuss his early individual practice and his more recent architectural projects with a selected group of students and guests. The discussion took place around the Studio G01 table and was led by questions from students and guests.
